TL;DR
Livingetc’s “Curated Finds for Louise” feature presents four wall-lighting options suited to a dark corner without nearby sockets: three candle sconces and one rechargeable light. The suggestions are tailored to the reader’s mauve walls, dark green sofas and walnut furniture; prices and delivery details are listing information that may change.
Livingetc has published a four-item wall-lighting shortlist for a reader identified as Louise, recommending three candle sconces and one rechargeable wall light for a dark corner without nearby sockets. The choices are styled around her dusty mauve walls, dark green sofas and walnut furniture, pairing decorative options with a battery-powered fitting that does not require new wiring.
The feature, titled “Curated Finds for Louise | Antique / Vintage Wall Sconces,” says the selection was guided by a request for pieces that feel collected over time rather than polished or overtly new. Interior stylist Miaad of Design Lab by Livingetc points to aged brass, burgundy ceramic and warmer antique finishes as materials that could work with the room’s autumnal palette. The article frames the candle sconces as decorative and atmospheric, while the rechargeable option is intended to provide functional light.
Among the candle choices, the Ferm Living Wall Candle Holder Agapé is described as the simplest in form while retaining a sculptural shape. The feature lists it at around £45. A vintage brass mirror wall sconce with botanical detailing, listed through Vinterior, is presented as the more ornate choice. The article says UK delivery starts at around £20, so that cost would add to the purchase price.
The other candle recommendation is an Etsy rich burgundy ceramic wall candle holder. The feature describes its color as a match for the reader’s plum and autumnal tones and says the listing appeared to offer free UK delivery when the article was written. For practical illumination, it recommends Pooky Lighting’s Twinky Rechargeable Wall Light in Antique Brass. The article gives its dimensions as 13 centimetres high by 14.5 centimetres wide, describes it as dimmable with a warm 3000K glow, and says it provides around 10 hours of light. It attaches to the wall with two small screws, according to the feature.
Lighting a Corner Without Wiring
The shortlist addresses two different needs in one small space: ambient candlelight and a rechargeable fixture intended to produce a more usable pool of light. That distinction matters because the room has no nearby socket, a constraint that can narrow lighting choices or make new wiring seem necessary. The feature’s rechargeable pick offers an alternative, while the candle holders provide a less functional but more decorative route.
For readers considering similar products, the article also makes clear that a visual match is only one part of the decision. Candle sconces do not provide the same kind of light as a rechargeable wall fixture, and vintage listings can carry separate delivery charges. The recommendations are a tailored shopping edit, not a report of a purchase, installation or independent product test.

How the Shortlist Was Tailored
The Livingetc feature is written as a response to a particular reader brief, rather than as a broad survey of wall lighting. It links the products to dusty mauve walls, dark green sofas and walnut furniture, and favors finishes intended to sit comfortably alongside those colors. Its selection spans contemporary-looking sculptural design, vintage brass with a mirrored back, handmade-looking burgundy ceramic and a rechargeable brass-finish light.
The recommendations are attributed to Miaad, an interior stylist at Design Lab by Livingetc. The source biography says Miaad has more than eight years of design experience in London and New York, including consultancy work at Restoration Hardware and Design Within Reach and event design for brands including Ferrari and Montblanc. That background explains the stylist’s role in the feature, but does not establish that the products were tested or endorsed by those companies.
“I’ve focused on pieces that feel as though they could have been collected over time, instead of anything too polished or overly new.”

Prices and Product Details May Change
The source does not state when the feature was published, and the cited prices and delivery terms should be treated as listing details at the time of publication, not guaranteed current offers. The Etsy item is said to appear to include free UK delivery; the wording does not confirm that the offer remains available. The Vinterior delivery estimate is also presented as approximate.
The feature does not report that Louise bought or installed any of the products, nor does it provide a measured comparison of their brightness, battery performance or long-term durability. It also does not specify the candle holders’ exact dimensions, candle requirements, mounting hardware or safety instructions. The rechargeable light’s stated runtime and color temperature are reported by the feature, but the source does not describe independent testing.

Check Listings Before Choosing
The next step for anyone interested in the recommendations is to check the retailers’ current listings for availability, price, delivery, dimensions and fixing details. Those checks are especially relevant for the vintage sconce, where patina and condition may vary, and for the Etsy listing, whose shipping terms can change. The source gives no follow-up date or update from Louise, so it is not clear whether the shortlist will lead to a purchase or a revised selection.
Buyers should also match the product to the intended use: a candle holder offers atmospheric light, while the rechargeable fitting is the option the feature identifies for a stronger pool of illumination. Anyone considering a hardwired alternative would need to assess the installation requirements separately; the article does not provide wiring guidance.
