TL;DR
House Beautiful reported that two Pooky Lighting portable lamps, Cecily and Primrose, were listed on Amazon for about $100 each. The article’s writer bought a Primrose and described its cordless use, rechargeable light source and remote timer; the report does not establish how widely the price or availability applies.
House Beautiful reported that two portable lamps from British lighting brand Pooky Lighting were listed on Amazon for about $100 each, and its writer said she bought the Primrose model. The report puts a cordless Pooky lamp within reach at a lower listed price than the brand’s typical portable-light prices described in the article, but it does not confirm whether the Amazon price or stock is still current.
The article names the Cecily and Primrose as the two portable lamps it found on Amazon. It describes Cecily as having a pleated shade and rounded base, while Primrose has a woven shade and scalloped details. Both were reported to come in seven colorways. The article does not provide listing links, seller information, or a price history, so the reported price should not be treated as a guaranteed current offer.
House Beautiful’s writer says she chose the Primrose, received it, and charged its Genesis Cell light source. According to the article, the light source can reportedly run for up to 17 hours on a charge. The writer described using the cordless lamp around her kitchen, moving it between work areas rather than relying on overhead lighting.
The lamp also came with a remote control and timer, the writer reported. Timer options were listed as 15, 30 and 60 minutes, allowing the light to switch off automatically. Those details are based on the House Beautiful account; the source does not include independent testing of battery life, brightness or performance.
A Lower Listed Price for Pooky Lamps
The report matters to shoppers because it describes a substantially lower price point than the article’s stated range for Pooky portable lights. House Beautiful said a quick browse of the brand’s lights showed prices starting at $115 and often exceeding $200, while the two Amazon options it found were listed at about $100. That comparison comes from the article and is not a verified, like-for-like price survey.
Portable lamps can be moved without a nearby outlet, making them useful for task lighting or softer light in different parts of a home. The writer’s account highlights that flexibility, along with the remote timer. Buyers would still need to check the current listing, seller, model details, return terms and charging specifications before ordering.

Pooky’s Portable Lighting Range
House Beautiful describes Pooky as a British lighting brand that gained attention in the United States after crossing the Atlantic in 2024. The article says the company sells a broad range of fixtures and has collaborations with Novogratz and Morris & Co. It identifies the rechargeable, portable lights as a particular draw, while noting their prices can be higher than some budget-minded shoppers want to pay.
The supplied report is a shopping article based on one writer’s purchase and home use, rather than a company announcement or a broad retail availability report. It does not say that Pooky has launched an official Amazon store, that all its products are sold there, or that the two lamps are exclusive to Amazon. The development confirmed by the source is narrower: the writer found these two models listed there and bought one.
““I thought it was a mistake or a very convincing knockoff.””

Current Price and Seller Details
The source does not establish whether the Amazon listings remain available, whether the price is still about $100, or whether that figure included shipping or taxes. It also does not identify the seller or confirm the listings’ relationship to Pooky. The writer’s impression that the lamps were genuine is not accompanied by company confirmation or other authentication details.
The article reports the light source’s claimed runtime of up to 17 hours but does not describe a test method or the conditions behind that figure. Actual runtime, brightness and charging time are not independently established in the supplied material. No broader sales figures, company statements or evidence of a permanent retail arrangement are provided.
Check Listings Before Ordering
Readers considering a purchase should verify the current Amazon listing, including price, availability, seller identity, model name and return policy. They should also review the product description for what is included and confirm charging and timer specifications before buying.
The supplied report identifies no announced next step from Pooky or Amazon. Whether the listed price persists, the two models remain in stock, or additional Pooky lights are offered through the retailer remains unknown from the available source.
